Highland Avenue to Reopen on April 28th

On Monday, April 28, 2025, Highland Avenue will reopen to traffic between Mt Carmel Ave. and Wharton Rd. From 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., SPS Technologies will employ flaggers when necessary to allow movement of materials across Highland Avenue. Traffic is expected to move normally from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. For your safety, please remain outside the fenced area surrounding the property. Only authorized people should try to access the property/building. We appreciate your patience and understanding. Thank you.

Air and water monitoring continues. Monitoring results remain stable, with no detections of chemicals or other parameters at levels of concern in the community.
The Reclamation process is underway, and SPS is developing its plan for future demolition work at the site. Information will be shared to keep the community informed on the demolition plan.
