SPS Announces Changes/Extends Pay & Health Benefits
Nearly a month after the devastating fire at our plant and after intense analysis of what areas of the location were severely impacted, SPS Technologies has a clearer picture of our personnel needs. Regretfully, we will have to make employment adjustments to align with those product lines and volumes the Company can still support. We notified our employees on a call earlier today. We also let the employees know that the Company will be extending full base pay to all active employees through May 18, 2025, and health and welfare benefits will be extended through the end of May. We continue to work with state and local resources to offer career fairs and other support in the weeks ahead. We appreciate the support of the community and offers of assistance.
- Air and water monitoring continues. SPS has posted air and water monitoring reports to the Monitoring section. SPS still has 15 air monitors in place. Six monitors circle the plant itself; the remainder are placed in the surrounding communities. Air monitoring results remain stable, with no detections of chemicals or other parameters at levels of concern in the community.
- If you have debris in your yard or would like to be added to the list for roof and gutter inspection/cleaning, please submit a request with your contact information and address through the Contact section of SPSupdates.com.
- SPS is developing its plan for future demolition work at the site. Information will be shared to keep the community informed on the plan.
- For your safety, please remain outside the fenced area surrounding the property. Only authorized people should try to access the property/building. Thank you
