Residential Clean-Up Accelerates

SPS continues to ramp up cleaning of properties in the area. After completing work around local schools, the crews focused mostly on residential properties – cleaning 115 homes today. The crews – consisting of approximately 70 trained individuals so far – are expected to expand by 20 more people on 2/26.

SPS continues to test debris samples for asbestos and has still had no findings.
Air and water monitoring continues with no identified issues. SPS has 14 air monitors in place. Six monitors circle the plant itself; the remainder are placed through the surrounding communities.
